- Simple. You can put iView anywhere on your disk.
- You may find it useful to have an alias to iView
- in your apple menu. As usual just double click on
- iView to open the program. Drag any file, folder,
- hard disk, or CD onto the iView icon or into the
- iView window and all the image files in that volume
- will appear in the catalog.
-
- XTND dosn't have to be installed but if it is then
- iView will be able to translate more graphic formats
- like TIFF, EPS, PFLT, Movie, Startup Screen and
- Clippings.
-
- If you don't already use a Claris product then just drop
- the Claris folder into the system folder. Take the
- extension called XTND Power Enabler and drop it
- in the extension folder. It will be instantly available
- because its not an extension just a library file. This
- also means it does not cause problems like an
- extension and there is no need to restart.
-
- If you already use a Claris product like ClarisWorks,
- Claris Emailer, Filemaker, or MacWrite then some of
- these items are already installed. Open the ClarisWorks
- folder in the System Folder then open the Claris
- Translators and drop in the new translators.
-
- When XTND is installed properly and iView is opened
- then you can check to see what formats are read by
- going to the apple menu and about iView and in the
- dialog that appears hit the 'Rebuild List' button. The
- list should now display TIFF, EPS, PFLT, Movie,
- Clippings as formats that can be read.
