  1. Simple. You can put iView anywhere on your disk.
  2. You may find it useful to have an alias to iView 
  3. in your apple menu. As usual just double click on
  4. iView to open the program. Drag any file, folder,
  5. hard disk, or CD onto the iView icon or into the
  6. iView window and all the image files in that volume
  7. will appear in the catalog.

  9. XTND dosn't have to be installed but if it is then
  10. iView will be able to translate more graphic formats 
  11. like TIFF, EPS, PFLT, Movie, Startup Screen and 
  12. Clippings.

  14. If you don't already use a Claris product then just drop
  15. the Claris folder into the system folder. Take the
  16. extension called XTND Power Enabler and drop it
  17. in the extension folder. It will be instantly available
  18. because its not an extension just a library file. This
  19. also means it does not cause problems like an 
  20. extension and there is no need to restart.

  22. If you already use a Claris product like ClarisWorks, 
  23. Claris Emailer, Filemaker, or MacWrite then some of 
  24. these items are already installed. Open the ClarisWorks
  25. folder in the System Folder then open the Claris 
  26. Translators and drop in the new translators.

  28. When XTND is installed properly and iView is opened
  29. then you can check to see what formats are read by
  30. going to the apple menu and about iView and in the
  31. dialog that appears hit the 'Rebuild List' button. The
  32. list should now display  TIFF, EPS, PFLT, Movie, 
  33. Clippings as formats that can be read.
